LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!!!!!!
The debate over jersey number retirement rages on. Every sporting facility pays tribute to players. High schools have trophy cases. Female sporting figures are on the rise- everyone knows who Vanessa Williams is and that Duke usually fields great male & female college basketball teams.
Speaking of colleges, we now have a BCS football game to decide a National champion and we have the World Series for baseball. My favorite college is Ohio State. They retired seven football jersey #s and MLB proudly display the numbers they pick. Just about everyone knows the pin-striped #7 belongs to Mickey Mantle.
Here's the task- Using O.S.U's retired #'s (10, 22, 27, 31, 40 and 45) Draft a baseball team from players who wore those numbers. No twisting. Players become free agents and trades occur. You must use the years that the player wore that #.
Example-Roger Clemens pitched for several teams and had different #'s. If he used #10 when he played for Red Sock's, you can only draft those years. If he wore #20 somewhere else, you can't use that season. All ballparks except Coors.
AAA draft 6/2 (random & above average) bench must follow jersey # rule No DH, Clones, WW, Trades, Injuries, $100M CAP.
