Exactly. You know a hitter with 88/89/96/83/99 C/P/VL/VR/EYE is good. You want 13 of those. You won't get 13 of those. So, if you're fortunate enough to get 3 of them, you still have 9-10 position players to acquire. Maybe you sacrifice O at SS/CF for D. Maybe you take a 52/13/66/12/45 you plays 85+ across the board D to play SS over that 84/56/70/73/70 SS with 81/76/82/81 fielding ratings. The bottom half of your roster is probably more important than the top. In a good world, the front 10-12 on every roster should be close to equivalent. The bottom 5-6 should be pretty much the same. It's those other 7-10 that separates the 75 win team from the 90 win team.
