Both managers channeling Showalter tonight. Otero had an ERA under 2 this season, and Francona goes to the SP who's already lost two games in this series.

Salazar's in the 'pen, too. Fresher and frankly a better pitcher than Bauer. Although Bauer does have big stuff for a short late inning stint if his arm's not too tired.

And when did Carl Edwards, Jr. leapfrog Rondon in the Cubs bullpen?

And Strop. Maddon seems to have lost all faith in his big guns. Not sure why.

Great game. All time classic.

I wouldn't be shocked if both these teams were back here next year

Hell of a game. I was rooting for the Indians (as an AL guy), but I'm happy for the Cubs and their fans.

No more curse. No more wait. No more agita. Just seven words of pure, unadulterated bliss.

The Chicago Cubs won the World Series.

Hey CHICAGO What Do You Say . . . . . . . CUBS are gonna WIN TODAY . . . .

What's the over/under of accidental deaths in Windy tonight? They're partying like Harry would...

"The bases are loaded, and that's what I'm gonna do after the game, folks."

HAPPY FOR MY BEAUTIFUL NIECE, STACY, WHO MOVED TO CHICAGO IN 2009 AND HAS BECOME A DIEHARD SCRUB+ BLACKHAWK FAN. THOUGH SHE HAS STUCK WITH THE JETS, THANK JESUS.

I thought Gregg Zaun's response was pretty entertaining:

"I'm glad the Cubs won, but now, honestly I wish I hadn't seen it. They're no longer lovable losers. They're lackluster; they're boring. I have no interest in them anymore."

The man spent his "lackluster boring" time in baseball, on the juice. Who cares what he says
