Have not played Sim BB in a long time, Below is how I set my lineup, I originally put Snuffy batting 2nd and Boggs 3rd but changed to a more traditional line up. Does it make much difference?

Way too many PA from 5-8. You're throwing away cash. Overall looks decent as a construction, though Bordick seems strictly worse than Snuffy... but I wouldn't really want to play either of them that low in the order in a capped league.

Thanks Uncleal,
It is a "$200 Mill Anything go's league" I picked Bordick & Holmes for defense. Would you go with Snuffy batting 2nd and Boggs 3rd, Gehrig 4th, etc?

If it's a $200M league, I'd scrap that offense and rebuild. At a cap that high, you can spend a lot more on offense and get big-time production while still keeping the defense solid if that's your goal. Gehrig belongs, but none of the others will produce at $200M.
This is true. But I'd honestly keep Wilson and have him at the 1 or 2 spot. I like having those triples in front of my big hitters

at that cap, you an do much better than Wilson, Holmes, Bench, and Bordick. You have far too many PAs so cut back on those and spend the money on more quality. I like your idea of having strong defense. What park are you using? At this high cap you can have some flexibility in building a team and defense around the stadium.

Thanks Guys,
I think I am screwed at Fenway, It is a free season and I was focusing on PA's, Defense & Pitching. If I win 60 games it will be a plus. LOL

is too late to make changes in your lineup? There are strategies that can work well at Fenway, and PAs are an issue there. Still, IMO, you have some very week sisters that could be upgraded by lowering your PAs, focusing on some doubles hitters, and so forth.

Without looking at 2B#, that lineup looks terrific although I may put Snuffy in the 7 and Bordick at 8. Much better than some major league teams. Why do the Cubs have Bryant batting second when he is home run hitter and K's alot? He should be at 4, Rizzo at 3, Zobrist at 2!

"Being better than major league teams" is an incredibly low bar in the SIM. Even Open League teams are better than most MLB teams, which are usually around 60-70M. For 200M, this lineup is... well, better options are available.

How much did you spend on your bench and pitching, I'm only seeing around $75 mil on your starting 8!! In $200 mil leagues with no "platooning" I'm thinking like $110 on the starting 8 minimum $100. You can build a hella staff on $90 mil and I'm assuming no DH so even $10 mil on your bench/PH would get you some studs!! I'm in total agreement with uncleal, you just don't have enough firepower for a cap that high. In a $200 mil anything goes league you'll be seeing lineups with 4 Ruths all over $10 mil and facing Joss, Johnson, Walsh, Maddux, Pedro every game, you will have 3 or 4 of those guys struggle to hit .225 in that. Live and learn

If you bat Zobrist 2, you don't have any protection for the big 2 left on the roster, they'd wouldn't get to swing the bat because teams would walk them and take their chances against all the low Avg, high K guys that make up the rest of their roster. After Baez .273 (450 PA 108 K's 15 BB .314 obp .423 slg) and Contreras .283 (but only got like 37% of the PA at C) their roster had these avg's .259, .238, .238, .230, .229, and .216 with the highest obp coming in at .333. They have 4 1/3 quality hitters (schwarber adds 1 more and makes a huge difference) so Joe has to bat the big 2 in the middle of the other 2. With Schwarber, a full time Contreras, and a more disciplined (you hope) Baez in their lineup for next season, I think he'll mix it up a little. I know I wouldn't want to pitch against that lineup!!

It looks like Joe took your advice a little early! He mixed it up in game 6 and 7 of the World Series by putting Schwarber 2, and it paid off.
