Probably if it happened. The documentation always said that 5th year players could not come back if they don't think they will get playing time. I normally never saw it with SR who were redshirted though. I did see it sometimes with Academically Ineligible guys before in 2.0.

But this is the 3rd time I have heard about it in 3.0 .. so I would say it likely is happening now.

Personally, I think it was a BUG that you could do it before .. and I have no issue with a guy who get mad and goes down to 1 WE not coming back. But it was a game loophole that people (including me) used before.

I would put in a ticket to see what Customer Service has to say if I were you.

I put the ticket in. He didn't go all the way down to 1 but from about a 70 to 13. It's just disappointing, dude was the best player on my team and was looking to make a strong run this year. Especially after reading everyone had had success with it.

I understand the reasons and I have done it myself .. and it would be good to know if they made changes in that area.

They said it was a bug that had been fixed. I'm ******* sad.

I'm confused, was it a bug that your guy left or was it a bug that you could redshirt seniors without consequence in the first place?

I am pretty sure the bug is that SR's never mind being Red Shirted. But, we'll let cardman answer.

I did not get player back. The bug was that before now you could red shirt seniors without consequence.

A "bug" they let stand for 60 seasons without addressing?
Then no notice of the change. Well done screwing unsuspecting users.

It should also depend on division. I can see a DI guy with NBA aspirations leaving, but why would a DII or even a DIII guy leave? They aren't going pro.

Christopher O'Laughlin, not elite but damn good if you need a C for one year. Motion offense, 2/3 defense.

There was a bug that caused the removal of the player at the end of the season. We've corrected that - for now it's as it was previously even though redshirting a senior should be questionable.
