I used to be a hardcore player (10 years ago)....I'm back. One thing really stands out. How much someone is improving.
How does this guy go from 41 in passing his freshmen year to a perfect 99 now? He was a green in the area in his freshmen year. Is it pretty normal for someone to jump up 50 points if they are green in their freshmen year? What did I do right with him that made him increase that much? Played him as freshmen? I only had 12 practice minutes on him all four years. I don't remember this much of increases 10 years ago.

With green categories and a good Work Ethic (and high school GPA), and a good amount of practice minutes, all categories will jump 30+ points. However, LP and PER can jump as many as 70 or 80 points. The jump from 41 to 99 is a high outlier for the passing category, at 58 points.

Possumfiend has done an excellent analysis of potential increases, but I don't have time right now to look it up.

Yeah 56 is pretty unusual. But a green category will go up 40 points on a regular basis over the course of 3 seasons if you start with a 50 work eithic and put in practice minutes and the player gets a usual amount of playing time.

His WE was 63 to start. That does not seem out of reason to me.
