Looking at how trades would affect the end of the first/beginning of the second, I knew that picks would be somewhat out of the ordinary based on need. There are only 122 seasons above $6M with eFG% > 53, Def > 60 & Usg% > 23. 71 out of 122 were first rounders. McAdoo is one of the best.

Perhaps there's a different big man I should've picked, but I felt needed more efficiency than that, and I know Mac would get picked at a certain point if I didn't.

He usually goes on the swing. Though usually it's JH in that swing spot who takes him.

i'm just saying it's not that much of a reach, is it?

wow @ the McAdoo and KATownes picks
McAdoo's really that much of a reach? High volume efficient scorers that play D are hard to find.
in past drafts he's been taken 8+ picks later - but I'm cool with it - means other dude's are sliding

that's true I just checked and he went on the turn last season I guess he's creeping up

You might have gotten him at your next pick, you might not have. So not entirely a reach.

Okay guys am I carzy or what? D Wade and Billups look to be a great backcourt with low fouls and turnovers along with a ton of assists. I get it tha the EFG% is pretty low for the usage.

I like it, they fit well with Billups' outside shooting complimenting Wade. Surprised you passed on Wallace though.

After the Marshall pick I had my doubts about my team but I think it's looking pretty good now after snagging TMac. Other people's thoughts?

Marshall is just about the perfect SF to play alongside Shaq. McGrady brings a ton to the table, and is a good fit in most ways, but due to his high usage he could be taking some shots away from the much more efficient O'Neal.

So it could change, but for now I'll be using Kidd's 08-09 season and Magic's 89-90.

Both have over 100 3's made, 30+ AST%, 52+ eFG% Solid rebounding from the guard spots.

The options moving forward are very open. I'll probably take best available at the other three positions once it gets to me again.

It's early still, but I see a lot of good teams. You all better leave me some guys in the 5/6 rounds.

am i the only one who likes McAdoo and Olajuwon. i'm almost at zero confidence in my ability to build teams, what with the way my ODL team is doing.....and the ensuing conversation.

You've got a good start on rebounding and plenty of usage. Since neither of your starting bigs scores all his points in the paint, you don't need a ton of 3s to balance the floor on offense. A SF who can help on the offensive boards would be good. Mainly you need a lot of passing to get the most out of your firepower in the frontcourt.

Magic Johnson for Draymond Green and Joakim Noah essentially.
