Its nice that we finally found something most of us can agree on!

BL is a YUUUUUUUGE ******* idiot!
It's a nice first step towards bringing a deeply divided nation together.
And ironically we owe it to Donald Trump, the great uniter.

This article does a fairly good job of explaining why Trump was elected, and the core root cause showed up pretty early in this thread:

I think telling people how they should think is a slippery slope.
I'm not telling them how to think. Just suggesting that thinking like a raging hatred filled racist may not be the best way.
How do you know?

Seems like it may give one purpose. Everyone needs a purpose in life.
You're right. I don't know. I also don't want to know. I can find other purposes for my life.

FWIW, I think that anyone who supported Trump is all of the following:

Uneducated and hate filled for both women and minorities.

Well, at least if you ask any liberal. Of course, it's much easier to say the "other guys" are horrible human beings rather than to look at your shortcomings. Put 'em in a box, explain why they suck and ignore your problems. Yay American politics.

The trump tax plan...

Brackets & Rates for Married-Joint filers:
Less than $75,000: 12%
More than $75,000 but less than $225,000: 25%
More than $225,000: 33%
*Brackets for single filers are ½ of these amounts

The Trump Plan will increase the standard deduction for joint filers to $30,000, from $12,600, and the standard deduction for single filers will be $15,000.

Low-income Americans will have an effective income tax rate of 0.

Is there anyone on this message board that this plan doesn't help?

I do think it's ironic that people in Wisconsin spent the last decade voting for explicitly anti-union state politicians and then jumped behind Trump and his promise to bring back union jobs.

I am cautiously optimistic of Trump's economic ideas. Cut taxes, invest in infrastructure, and support unions to raise lower and middle class incomes.

It's basically the ideal Keynesian plan.

So it would have been less ironic if Wisconsin had voted for Hillary, cause she's a Union Killer?

I guess the irony is that the party label next to the candidate's name meant more than the actual ideas the candidate was putting forward.

Trump did not win the Wisconsin primary. Given the presidential ballot as it existed, who should Wisconsin have voted for? Or should everyone stay home?
