Crum just finished new signups about 30 minutes ago. Here are the populations of the 3 worlds that I'm in:

NAISMITH:
Div One - 97.
Div Two - 78.
Div Three - 80.

SMITH:
Div One - 103.
Div Two - 106.
Div Three - 240.

CRUM:
Div One - 101.
Div Two - 77.
Div Three - 123.

I'd guess a good chunk of those D3 Smithies are free credits. If 10% of the new players stick, I'd say it's beating the old version for retention. We'll see.

Results from Phelan are not good. Jumped up to 123 coaches but only now 63 after renewals... Ugh.

I can confirm 11 of the Smithies were freebies. We came from Moonlight Graham in HBD. Not sure how many will stay when the season is over but 3-4 have discussed whether to move up or stay put.

I'd expect 1-a-day worlds to do better in retention in the "free HD" phase. 2-a-day worlds are for the hardcore.

You may be right and I hope you are. I'd think new guys would like the 2 a day since it's faster. 1 a day can be slow and boring and harder to get in to... especially during a rebuild. But we shall see. Allen will be over in a couple weeks.

I don't think I will ever be able to join a 2-day world at all. UNLESS I have worked myself up in most worlds and have been successful in all three divisions. I could see when I retire where I will be playing all ten worlds as a youtube platform for my preaching and gaming

What was it for Season 99 (it seems something was 63 before .. was that div-3 .. if so, we are +31 there)?

WIS just launched a new free season promo campaign, so D3s should be going up.

But the Naismith D1 and D2 numbers increasing is an encouraging sign of renewed strength for HD.
