I had a "green" recruit (in which I had invested $8800, including 8 CV, 2HCV, 1ACV and 2 scouting trips) turn red with 3 SimA1's. I turned him green on day 2 of recruiting, left him alone as a backup, and on day 6 he "ungreened". I thought Sima1's quit recruiting after a recruit had committed. Div 1A. Anyone seen this before?

Did you fill all of your scholly's?

Did you have a scholarship offer out to him?

It looks like you still have 1 spot to fill? That is very strange. Never seen that before.

Yep, still one spot to fill and didn't offer him a scholly.

Nope. I tend to recruit against SIM's a ton...never had it happen. Once green, they have always stayed green for me unless a human turned them.

I wonder if, entirely within one cycle, a human owner turned the recruit to him but then filled his last scholarship with another player.
The recruit then bounces back to the Sims, since no scholarship was offered by coachron. A weird glitch or loophole maybe.

That's a plausible explanation. Must have been this or just a glitch. The recruit signed with one of the three Sims.

Unless it resets/reboots, or is a glitch or something - I think there's a lot that we all don't understand about what is happening under the hood.

One other explanation -- I think I had run out of money before this happened. I had only $8 after losing a battle with an elite. Perhaps the system turns recruits back to their original status when we run out of money to recruit them.

If so, that's good because it makes them available. It wouldn't seem fair otherwise.

This is correct, I have had this happen. If you don't have enough money to offer the scholly the player will NO LONGER consider you.
