1982 Minnesota Twins in Franchise w/Farm Prog Topic

The Minnesota Twins are available in the Franchise With Farm System Progressive, going into the 1982 season. The basic concept is that the franchises started with their 1977 rosters, and add the rookies who come up with that franchise each year. So the Twins have guys like Rod Carew as holdovers since 1977, and Kent Hrbek as players who have come up through their farm system. They'll have Frank Viola, Tom Brunansky, Gary Gaetti, and a large rookie class in 1982, then Kirby Puckett in 1984.

Sitemail me if you're interested, I'll give you all the details on league rules. If you take the team before our current season ends (Dec 6), you can start negotiating trades that would take effect after the season.

I'll offer a $10 WIS gift certificate with the Twins, payable when the season starts. Sitemail me to take the team.

Minnesota's draft position is now looking very likely to be #6 or #7 - the draft order will be finalized next Tuesday.

The $70+ M total salary for the keepers is a fairly good starting point in this league, going into the draft. I only have $61 M in keepers for my own Seattle franchise.

The 1982 draft is underway, with Minnesota having the #7 pick. I drafted reliever Jay Howell for them in the first round, since he has several great seasons ahead of him, and the roster doesn't have any big holes that need to be filled.

i'll take the twins

gds46016, sitemail me about the Twins if you still want them.

Since I haven't heard from gds yet, I guess the Twins are still available until I do hear from him/her. Sitemail me if you're interested.
