Glavine 300 S34 - FULL Topic

Glavine 300 is looking for new recruits for the upcoming season 33. We historically have a very low turnover and quick rollovers. Last 7 season we had 5 years with no wait at all.

This year, due to some MWR casualties, we have more openings than usual.

We have only 1 rule - a 120 minimum win requirement over 2 seasons.

Here are the open teams:

Indianapolis Indy Meowzers (AL East) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=4010

A strong team that won 88 games last year that just missed the playoffs. Current payroll is about $60M so there is plenty of flexibility to add additional free agents to the mix.

Baltimore Orioles Redbird (AL East) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRoster.aspx?fid=4011 - This was a severely mis-managed team by a fairly new owner who finally fell victim to the MWR. This is definitely a rebuild situation. However, the good news is that it comes with the #1 draft pick and less than $20M in payroll, so the rebuild can start in earnest right away.

San Francisco Hipsters (AL West) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=4014

A solid team that won 82 guys last year and just missed the division title in a weaker division. The core of the team is fairly young (oldest is 33 years old) and back this year. With a payroll of less $55M there is plenty of flexibility to add free agents to take this team from good to great.

Santa Fe Supernova (NL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=4025

This team is a stacked team that won 107 games last year and over 100 games a year the last 4 years. There is plenty of firepower left on the team to win 100+ games for several more seasons. For people, who like to come into a good situation this is a great option.

Houston Streets (NL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=4023

This team has petered along, winning 69-75 games over the last few years. The team has a lot of talent from rookie to ML but needs a new owner to get them over the hump. There are only 2 players under long term contracts (both under $5M) so there is a ton of potential for this team -- to either build through IFAs or FAs.

Jacksonville Gnats( NL South) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=4022

This team has struggled over the last few seasons, winning less than 60 games each season. Those top draft picks are still in the system and ready to contribute soon. This team has the #5 draft pick this season. This team is also a very low payroll situation with only 4 players on long-term contract (<$25M payroll)

Colorado Gold (NL West) https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseHistory.aspx?fid=4032

Another team in need of a rebuild with only 54 wins last season. They have the #2 draft pick. Check out the ML roster - there is a nice young core and much more talent than you would expect from a 54 win team. This team also have a nice farm system and a craft new owner should have this team contending in a couple seasons.

Let me know if you are interested in any of these teams.
