Agreed. The tables saved me hours of research time. Likewise, my team will suck and I will definitely play next season. One thing I know, is I will definitely have enough innings - 1877 of them bad boys. About 600 good ones. lol
I think quite a few of us botched the draft. Looking at around 900 good innings and alot of slugfests here.

How are you defining good innings? Does 2004 Radke's 1.16 whip and 0.94 hr/9 count as good? He's my worst pitcher. I also have 366 mediocre IPs of 1899 Vic WIllis (1.15 whip, 0.16 hr/9). The rest of my usable pitching staff (Mathewson, Wyatt, Ojeda, Nathan, Urbina, Henke) have whips 1.01 or below. I focused on pitching so hopefully, my team is above average in that respect.

Unfortunately, my offense will be worse than most. I was the last person to draft Gehrig so I am below average at 1B. I didn't get to add Babe Ruth and I have to start Barajas at catcher. Oh, and I miscalculated how much my team would cost and in the effort of trying to save salary, I ended up with a salary of only $117.9M. Still working ways to maybe upgrade somewhere.

I'm counting Radke & Higbee as Mopups with their IP's being 371. Carrying 3 closers (2 are A closers-Howell & Littleton)
I got Babe but you got Mattewson. I got backup catcher for Barajas and togethet they have 700+ innings. Did same for bridwell. (bench)
Will use Miguel Tajeda instead.

Finishing: Cubs '72 Santo $4,936,909; Dodgers '92 Webster $1,728,975

My effective team salary is about $102.3 million when you eliminate the deadweight. Deleting everybody but my starting lineup (incl. platoon at catcher) and usable pitchers, here are my team totals...

Hitting: 5484 PA, .305 AVG, .400 OBP, .530 SLG, $51,2 million
Pitching: 1447 IP, 1.03 WHIP, 0.33 HR/9, $51.1 million

One fairly costly mistake, but could have been worse. My fate probably depends on whether I can get Killen over .500.

garmansouth can pick now (Bridwell or Radke)
DarthDurron needs Bridwell (must wait for garmansouth) and Hampton
moses_k needs Radke (must wait for garmansouth)

Your Radke is very similar to my '01 Radke (1.15 WHIP, 0.96 HR/9), and I did NOT count him as good innings. He is my 4th best SP, and maybe my parttime SuA, which should tell you all you need to know about my team.

When it was down to drafting more 1.10+ pitchers, leaving lots of cap room, or fitting more stud hitters just under the cap, I had to go with option #2.

I had(have) the option of a similar mediocre deadballer to your Willis, but it would mean gutting 2 spots in my starting lineup. Barring a change of heart, that's not happening.

One of many reasons I love this theme: ever since I chose Higby as my initial player I've been convinced that the 1950 Stanky will be my starting 2B. In fact he was a primary reason I chose Higby in the first place. Now suddenly in the 9th round my starting 2B is 1996 Chuck Knoblauch.

My offense should be very good. My defense should be very inconsistent. My pitching staff will likely consist of 540 excellent innings, roughly 600 extremely mediocre innings, and 400+ horrendous innings. I have no idea how this will play out.

Anyway, in the 9th round I select a guy who I'm counting on for 200+ horrendous innings, 1996 Brad Radke.
I was going to be almost $2M under the cap but I found a way to move 100+ IP from the horrendous to the mediocre category, while also improving my offense and only somewhat downgrading my defense. I like my team more now, but my pitching staff is going to be very tough to manage given that my 1,273 good-to-mediocre innings are only spread out among 5 pitchers and I only have 1 other guy who even has a prayer of getting anyone out. I won't win many close games where I have to use more than 2 or 3 pitchers.

I will Take 1999 Radke
12/13/2016 1:51 PM
That leaves us with 2000 Radke. Awesome...
12/13/2016 1:55 PM

1349 IP, 1.03 WHIP, 0.24 HR/9, $48.5 million
5376 PA, .312 AVG, .387 OBP, .527 SLG, $50.4 million

Good Luck to all the Teams -

I'll finish my team with 2000 Mike Hampton and 1907 Al Bridwell.
12/13/2016 3:37 PM
That leaves garmansouth with 1906 AL Bridwell
