Points Per Possession Topic

This is the stat that determines your schools level of "defense" for recruit preference, correct?

Where can I see this stat.

i dont know but it should be a (IMO) relative to your division. and maybe something like this:
very good - top 10% in points/game
good - top11% - 30% in points/game
nuetral - 31% - 69% in points/game
bad - 70% - 89% in points/game
very bad - 90% - dead last in points/game

the other good discussion should be in terms of perimeter O vs paint O, what % should constitute what?

I don't know if it is, or not, but it should be points per possession. Points per game is too dependent on tempo, and not an adequate representation of actual defensive strength.

Possessions per game is something like FGA + (.45ish)FTA + TO - Off Reb

points per possession would simply be points / possessions per game

Yes, it's definitely points per possession to determine Strong Defense.

I use FGA - Offensive Reb + TO + (0.475 * FTA) = possession. Basically same as Shoe uses.

So I'd have to do my own math?

For just about anything important, yes.

You also have to do your own math for potential and final attribute scores in recruiting, etc.

You will also have to keep your own data.

Keep in mind 3.0 was supposed to make it easier by not having to calculate and preventing the necessity for people to keep spreadsheets.
