5-5 FG. Game winning 53 yard FG with 14. seconds left.

Game of The Week:
Oregon St 21- 20 Clemson
OSU entered the 4th quarter down 20-6. The Beavers were then able to drive down the field on 4 consecutive drives and finish with a score. Two FG and a TD later and OSU had closed the gap to two. Clemson took over with 2:30 left in the game and a chance to run the clock out. On first down the Beavers sacked QB Keith Jackson. On second down the Clemson could only muster a 2 yard run. Clemson gained 3 on third down. Only able to run a minute and a half off the clock, Clemson is forced to punt. Coming through in a clutch situation the Beavers special teams BLOCK THE PUNT and take possession with one minute left at mid field. On second down and 11, RB Steven Beck breaks a 12 yard run putting the Beavers in FG range. After a 2 yard run and a spike to stop the clock, freshman kicker James Mayes lines up for a 53 yard kick and nails it! After a 5/5 performance, Mayes takes home player of the game.

Sim Team of The Week:
Arizona Wildcats. Taking on the AlekTx2015 coached UNLV Runnin’ Rebeles, the Wildcats were able to come away with the victory. A very bad loss for coach Alek. Great win for the PAC12.

Week 2
Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Alexander Cole QB UCLA
39-59, 66%, 503 yards, 7 TD in a 76-0 win over Miss St.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Norman Jordan LB UCLA
10 Tackles, 2 Sacks, 1 Int, 1 Pass Defended.

Special Teams player of the Week:
So. Jeffery Young WR California
Caught a punt at the 19 yard line and ran it back 81 yards for the TD in Cals 40-6 win over West Virginia.

Game of The Week:
Arizona St. 30 – 34 Penn St.
Arizona St came into the half down by four and immediately forced a great punt that was downed at the ASU 5-yard line. On 3rd and 7 ASU junior leader Ronald Case tried to avoid the Penn St. rush but was dropped in the end zone to put Penn St up six with the ball. Things were not looking good for ASU. With the game starting to slip away, ASU came through in the clutch and forced a three and out. Even though they started on their own five-yard line, ASU capped off a 10-play drive with a 38 yard FG. Three plays later ASU forced a fumble and recovered, followed by a two play TD drive. With momentum swung into its favor, ASU ended the quarter with another TD and a 30-19 lead, winning the quarter 17-2. If ASU could hold on for 15 minutes they could claim the best win of the early season.
Penn St. started off the 4th forcing a quick three-and-out and quick 9 play, 64-yard TD drive, plus a two-point conversion. The lead was down to five. ASU would need to burn some clock but instead went three-and-out again. That was enough for Penn St. to strike with a 41-yard TD pass to take the lead at 34-30. ASU had two more chances to take back the lead but after another three-and-out, was sacked on 2nd and 8 setting up a 3rd and 16. Ronald Case tried to force a pass on 3rd but overthrew his WR. Then on the last chance, 4th and 16, the Sun Devils make the VERY questionable call to run the ball. It was snuffed out and the game was effectively over.
It was a great game and a close call for the Penn St Nittny Lions championship aspirations.

Sim Team of The Week:
Stanford Cardinal
Put a beating to Tulane 50-7. Had over 500 yards of offense and forced 3 Turnovers.
No Sim teams beat any humans.

Week 3
Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Alexander Cole UCLA QB
Winning his second consecutive PAC12 POW, Alexander threw for 526 yards, on 67.8%, for 3 TD, and no INT in a 59-21 trouncing of Syracuse. Alexander is putting up an incredible season after 3 games. He is second in the nation in yards, TD, and is first in completions. Being the only non-elite in the top of the tier of QB puts Alexander Cole at the top of my Heisman rankings.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Jr. John Butler ASU DL
Butler scored three sacks against the stout Texas D-line. Leading the ASU D to a 21-10 half time lead, Butler and the defense could not hold on, getting no help from the offense and losing 41-22.

Special Teams player of the Week:
Jr. John Bowman USC WR
Tied 3-3 in the 2nd quarter, John Bowman returned a Louisville punt to the house 70 yards to break the tie and lead USC to a 41-10 victory.

Game of The Week:
Oregon State 47- 50 Oklahoma State - 4OT
Oklahoma State completed a 19-yard pass with 17 seconds left on the play clock to force overtime in what was an evenly matched back and forth battle.
OT1 saw both teams score touchdowns quick. OT2 started with Oregon State busting a 16-yard touchdown run. Oregon State D was able to force a 4th & 4 but gave up a clutch 6-yard TD pass to even up the game. Oklahoma State could not get anything going on their next possession and settled for a FG on 4th & 1. Oregon State was destined for the same fate, a FG on 4th & 3. Oregon State took over OT4 and produced a huge 12-yard run on 1st down, but a penalty on the next play would kill all momentum and four plays later Fr. Kicker James Mayes pushed a 27-yard kick through the uprights. Down 3, Oklahoma State RB Berry Powers scattered around the far end of the field for a 10-yard gain, seeing the D out of formation and confused, QB Ronald Thompson hurried up the Cowboys to the line and audibled into a quick screen pass to the sideline where 6’5” TE Michael Navarro was lined up. Navarro snatched the high pass out of the air and broke the tackle at the same time and easily walked into the end zone to end the 4 OT instant classic.

Sim Team of The Week:
Air Force Falcons
The only non-human team to win this week. Beat C. Michigan 28-10, improving to 2-1 on the season.
12/9/2016 4:32 PM (edited)
Week 4
Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr. James Russell UCLA RB/WR
#3 UCLA blew out Maryland 76-24. QB Alexander Cole could have easily won this week’s award but he was overshadowed by the play of Sr RB/WR James Russell. Russell finished with 67 yards rushing, 6 TD rushing, 12 Rec, and 177 yards Rec, and 139 return yards. That’s a total of 383 all-purpose yards and 6 TD.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Raymond Hawkins UCLA LB
Raymond was making plays all over the field for the Bruins as he shadowed RB/WR Adam Wolf. Wolf had 18 rushes and 9 rec, giving Hawkins plenty of chances to make plays. With 8 tackles on Wolf, 12 overall, and 2 sacks, Raymond Hawkins wins this week’s PAC12 POW.

Special Teams player of the Week:
Eric Garcia Air Force 87-yard punt return for TD to open the scoring of a 36-6 Air Force victory.

Leroy Low Stanford 88-yard punt return for TD to open the scoring of a 42-6 Stanford victory.

Game of The Week:
Cal 3-9 FSU
California K Michael Smith hit a 37 yard FG to take a 3-0 lead that would last until midway through the 3rd quarter. In the 1st half, 13/14 possessions ended in punts. After two more punts to start the 3rd, FSU finally got on the score board with a 44 FG by K Patrick Bragg. Cal would punt on their next/last four possessions to end the game. FSU put together a 13 play, 75-yard drive that ended in a FG to take a 6-3 lead. On their next drive, FSU completed a 40-yard pass that set up a 46 yard FG that would be the last score of the game. Cal had one last chance to win the game but chose to punt from mid field on 4th and 5 with only 3 minutes left in the game. They would not get the ball back again.

Sim Team of The Week:
Air Force Falcons
Beat Tulsa 36-6 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Oregon and Stanford also beat other sim teams this week.
12/10/2016 7:05 PM
Week 5
Offensive Player of the Week:
Fr. Nathaniel Matthews OSU RB
The Freshman back ran for 349 yards on 47 carries, for an impressive 7.4 YPC. Only found the end zone once but still lead OSU to a much needed 34-0 trouncing of Western Michigan.

UCLA RB/WR James Russell was also heavily considered for this weeks award.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Jr Kevin Berg ASU DT
Held Army to 10 points on 12 first downs. Berg was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the field, racking up 9 tackles and 4 sacks. Berg’s run stopping abilities were on full display, twice getting huge stops behind the line for losses. He came into the game without a sack but now shares the team lead with others.

Special Teams player of the Week:
Sr Joseph Castro BYU RR/KR/PR
Started the scoring off with a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown. Turned out to be a very important score, as BYU only won by a FG.

Game of The Week:
BYU 24-21 Boise St.
BYU kicked a 30 yard FG with 1:25 left in the game to get the win against previously unbeaten Boise St.
All human games were blow outs and do not deserve GOTW honors.

Sim Team of The Week:
BYU Cougars
Finally getting into the win column and in dramatic fashion. Pac12 Game of The Week and Sim Team of the Week for the Cougs.
Air Force beat Toledo 40-14 to improve to 4-1 on the season. Stanford also got a win over Rice to get to 3-2. Washington was also able to score their first win of the season 43-24 over Cincinnati.
12/11/2016 6:46 PM
Week 6
Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr Alexander Cole QB UCLA
Continued his amazing season and run for the Heisman, Cole has firmly established himself as one of the top QB in his class. UCLA beat BYU 74-14, riding the arm of Cole to 457 yards and 5 TD passes. Impressive stats, but more so when you see that he did this while completing 66% of his passes.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr Michael Collins DL ASU
The Senior is making a strong case for all conference honors at the DL position, as he has reached the QB in four of the last five games. This Saturday Collins dominated the line, leading the team in tackles (9), sacks (2), and tackles for loss (3). On the season, Collins has 34 tackles, 5 sacks, and 12 tackles for loss.

Special Teams player of the Week:
Jr John Bowman KR/PR USC
Ran back a punt 78 yards for the final score of USC’s big win over the Oregon St Beavers. Also had a 55 yard kick return that almost went to the house but was pushed out of bounds by the kicker. Ended the day with 152 punt return yards and 88 kick return yards.

Game of The Week:
USC 45-17 OSU
With a tie game and 2:40 left in the half, USC gambled on 4th and 4 going for it and completing a 14 yard pass, keeping the drive alive. Two plays later, Robert Pitts pulled in a 12 TD catch to take a 21-14 lead into the half.
USC came out of the half a different team and completed three long passes in a row, scoring a TD that slammed the door shut on any chance of an upset.
OSU could only produce a single FG the rest of the way. USC on the other hand would get 17 in the fourth quarter; a FG, a 50-yard TD strike, and a 78-yard punt return TD.

Sim Team of The Week:
Washington Huskies (2-4)
Got a huge win against a one loss Air Force team 24-20. Oregon also beat Stanford 23-17.

12/12/2016 5:36 PM
Week 7
Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr Thomas Warren QB USC
The senior has had a great season but has taken a back seat to star RB/WR Jonathan Johnson when it comes to accolades and attention. In week seven the OPOW could have went to either of the two but the winner is Warren with 393 yards, 78.8%, 8 TD in a 84-20 win over the Oregon Ducks.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr Anthony Payne CB Cal
No real standout performances in the Pac12 in week 7 on the defensive side of the ball. Senior CB Anthony Payne lead a California Golden Bear defense that traded punches with a strong Arizona State team but came up a few stops short of the upset. Payne had 7 tackles, and 1 Int. Payne now has 4 picks this season and 14 for his career. His Int vs. ASU set up a critical touchdown.

Special Teams player of the Week:
So Stephen Allen K ASU
Connected on 5-5 FG, to get a total of 18 points on the day. His consistency was the difference in a close game with California.
Joseph Castro PR BYU, and James Young PR Washington, also ran back a punt this week earning honorable mention.
Game of The Week:
ASU(4-3) vs Cal (4-3)
The only human vs human matchup in the Pac12 for week 7. The Sun Devils had the edge in talent coming into the game but that did not stop Cal from keeping it interesting throughout the second half.
ASU scored 10 quick points to close out an evenly matched 1st half. Cal created a turnover early in the 3rd when ASU QB Ronald Case threw into tight coverage. Anthony Payne made a spectacular play on the ball and picked it off returning the ball 16 yards to the ASU 11. Two plays later and Cal was in the end zone and the deficit was cut to 7.
The teams would trade FG’s, five in total, over the next quarter and a half. Cal takes over with 7:20 left in the game, down 9. No longer willing to settle for three point kicks, Cal drove 75 yards in almost 5 minutes making it a three-point game.
Cal coach roundtop13 knew there was no time so he sent out the on-side team. The kick was nice but the ASU hands team snagged the ball out of the air on its high point to save the game. Cal would have to make a stop to win the game. On 1st and 1 from the ASU 36-yard line, Ronald Case made up for his earlier mistakes and finds an open Jeffery Henderson, shaking off an easy tackle he walked into the end zone, putting the game out of reach.

Sim Team of The Week:
Air Force Falcons
Even with the loss the Falcons looked good against a human OSU team. Arizona (2-5) beat BYU (1-6). Washington (3-4) beat Stanford (3-4).

12/14/2016 3:06 AM
Looks like real life might have caught up with chrondon, but this has been a really fun read -- thanks for doing all this man.

Had a snow storm. Had the kids at home with me all week.

Normally I wake up, take my kids to school, smoke some chronic, and drink some coffee while I do my updates.

Cant really do that when my kids stay home.

I could have done some if I really wanted to but I was only getting four views a day.
12/18/2016 4:29 AM
Week 8

Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Jonathan Johnson RB/WR USC
28 rushes for 168 yards at 6 ypc and 2 TD. 11 Rec, 259 yards and 4 TD Rec.
Winning the award for the second time this season, first since week one. This spot could have gone to QB Thomas Warren who threw for 448 yards and 8 TD.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Charles Parker DT USC
The leading sack man in the Pac12, Charles Parker has been a force in the middle all season for USC. Had 4 sacks and 2 TFL in team’s blowout win over Washington. Ended with 7 tackles for the game.
Is making a strong case for Pac12 Defensive Player of The Year.

Special Teams player of the Week:
So. Michael Smith K California
Hit the game winning FG in the Game of The Week, a 29-27 thriller over undefeated UCLA. Ended the game 5-5 on FG.

ASU KR Jeffery Sanchez ran back a punt 78 yards for a TD vs BYU. Oregon K Ramon Thomas hit two FG for the only points scored in game.

Game of The Week:
California Golden Bears (5-3) beats UCLA (7-1) 29-27
UCLA has opened the season feasting on inferior talent, surging to a 7-0 start. During this stretch, RB Steven Johnson has taken a firm lead in the Pac12 OPOY race, with QB Alexander Cole not far behind.
Meanwhile, California has struggled against the good teams but have beat the teams that they should beat. Because of their tough schedule, Cal does not look to be having a very good season.
The first half was sloppy with a ton of miscues. Both teams took advantage; UCLA first with a kick return TD, and Cal later with a fumble recovery that lead to a TD, and a INT that lead to a FG. Both teams also had multiple costly penalties. UCLA 14-13 Cal.
The second half started with a critical 9 play drive that ended with a Cal FG to take a 16-14 lead, and a drive later they added a TD to go up 23-14. Cal was taking over with all momentum swinging in their favor.
UCLA could feel their perfect season coming to an end and had to answer. Alexander Cole kept a cool head and lead a 12-play drive that concluded with a 40 yard FG to cut the lead to 23-17. Captain Cole would get the ball back with 13 minutes to go in the game, go 7-10 and complete a pass on 3rd and 9 for the go-ahead touchdown. UCLA 24-23.
Both teams would march down field to get FG’s and exchange leads. Cal would get the last chance, down one with 4 minutes to go.
FUKCING GO TIME!
Often overlooked QB Alexander Short would convert two long 3rd down passes to put his team in position to attempt a 45 yard FG and possibly win the game. The D got a good rush and jump, almost blocking the kick, but So K Michael Smith connected, pushing the ball through on a low power kick.
Great game. Biggest win of coach roundtop13’s career at California so far. A hard loss for jwzewilliams UCLA team.

Sim Team of The Week:
Stanford Cardinal
Took advantage of a OSU team that has no depth at the DB position. The most impressive win by a sim team in the Pac12 this season. A very bad loss for OSU. Coach chrondon84 is hearing the rumors of a firing on the horizon.
Oregon improved to (4-4) with a 6-0 win over Air Force (4-4). Arizona (3-5) beat the win less Washington St. Cougars 23-15.
12/18/2016 8:06 AM (edited)
Week 9

Offensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Thomas Warren QB USC
24-34, 70.6%, 394 yards and 8 TD.
Making up serious ground in the Pac12 POY race, Thomas has been on fire putting up very impressive touchdown numbers again.
Once again, this award could have gone a couple different ways. RB/WR Jonathan Johnson USC, and RB/WR James Russell UCLA both had amazing games too.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Jr. Cory Haywood DE USC
10 Tackles, 4 Sacks, 3 Tackles for Loss.
Took his turn to lead the USC D, Haywood exploded with four sacks. It was against an Air Force team that has had a surprisingly good season. The difference in talent was very apparent during the game. Charles Parker also had a sack.

Special Teams player of the Week:

Sr. John Bowman WR/KR USC
Ran back another punt for a touchdown, this time an 81 yarder.

Game of The Week:
California (6-3) 37-20 over Oregon St. (3-6)
There were no good games in the Pac12 this week. There was only one Human vs. Human game.
Cal jumped out to a 28-3 halftime lead and never felt threatened vs OSU. OSU had two backs gain over 200 yards on the ground but that was the only good news for OSU.
Cal needed the win to stay atop the division.

Sim Team of The Week:
Oregon Ducks (5-4)
Only two sim teams won this week. Oregon beat Washington St (0-9) 31-10. Washington (4-5) hammered BYU (1-8) 41-6.
12/18/2016 8:05 AM (edited)
Week 10

Offensive Player of the Week:
Jr. Ronald Case QB ASU
28-45, 62.2%, 445 yards, 7 TD
Case is picking up his first POW award, beating out some stiff competition. In the end, it was the seven touchdown passes that separated Case from the rest. Look for the Jr. to have a monster season next year.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Charles Parker DT USC
Lead USC’s swarming D with 11 tackles. Destroyed constant double teams and racked up 3 Sacks and 4 tackles for loss. Is definitely the top defensive player in the Pac12 so far.
Sr. Michael Collins DT ASU ended the day with 7 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. He is trying to catch up to Charles Parker for Def POY. The gap is small at this point and could be settled next week when these two teams collide.

Special Teams player of the Week:
Co ST POW: So. Jeffery Sanchez RB/PR ASU ran back a punt 85 yards for a score in a 76-3 pounding of Air Force.
Sr. Sean Mathis WR/PR Stanford returned a punt 88 for his touchdown against UCLA to take an early lead and give false hope to the Stanford fans.

Game of The Week:
None. All games sucked. Not even one of them were competitive or human vs human.

Sim Team of The Week:
Oregon Ducks (6-4)
Only sim team to get a win, their third in a row and fourth in conference. The Ducks beat Washington (4-6) 34-13.
12/18/2016 8:04 AM (edited)
Week 11

Offensive Player of the Week:
Fr. Nathaniel Matthews RB OSU
42 carries, 293 yards, 7 ypc, 4 TD.
One of the few true running, running backs in the league. Nathaniel is having a great freshman season. This is his second POW, though it was highly contested. His four touchdowns are what distanced him from his competition. Backup RB Steven Beck also had 183 yards on 24 carries, for 2 TD.
UCLA has two players that are up for the Pac12 POY, Alexander Cole and James Russell, that both had monster games against Air Force.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Sr. Michael Collins DT ASU
10 Tackles, 6 sacks, 2 Tackle for Loss.
In a clash of the two top defenders in the Pac12 conference, USC pitted DT Charles Parker against ASU’s Michael Collins.
All season long Parker has garnered the most of the attention of the two stars. USC has had the better season and Parker is a big reason for it, racking up three Player of the Week honors.
Collins has also won the award but so has two other ASU teammates, both lineman. He has had stellar games all season long and been the most consistent player on the team.
Parker looked good adding to his season lead with 2 more sacks. But Michael Collins looked like the better player all day as he took on a stronger O Line and still managed to lead his team with 10 tackles, 6 dominating sacks and two tackles for loss.
With a game like this it will be hard for Collins NOT to win the Pac12 Defensive Player of The Year. Parker must produce against Cal in the Pac12 Championship game to boost his resume.

Special Teams player of the Week:
Sr. John Brown P Oregon
11 punts, 42 yard avg, 6 inside the opponent 20.
Landed a punt inside the one yard line to set up a sack/safety in the first quarter to give Oregon a 2-0 lead over Cal. Landed a punt at the 2-yard line that would lead to a fumble that was recovered by the Oregon defense in the end zone to give Oregon an 9-6 lead heading into the half. Brown was a real difference maker in this game.

Co-ST POW Sr. John Bowman USC ran back his fourth kick of the season. This time it was only a 69 yarder. The return was a critical first strike for USC because they had yet to generate any offense against a stingy ASU defense. Though not ST related, also had 7 Rec for 175 yards and a TD for USC.

Game of The Week:
USC (11-0) with the 38-30 win over ASU (7-4)
USC put together a 1-2 scoring punch to close out each of the first two quarters; a punt return and 10-yard run in the 1st, and two TD passes in the 2nd. The ASU offense started off the game with an interception ending drive and suffered the same fate to end the half down 28-6.
Things were not looking good for ASU. Starting the second half, USC received the ball and drove down the field in methodic fashion. 15 plays later USC took a chance on 4th and 11, completing a pass but only getting 9 yards on the play. It was a YUUUUGE stop for the ASU D. QB Ronald Case would connect on four consecutive passes, the last being a 46-yard bomb on 3rd down that ended with RB Jefferey Sanchez dancing in the end zone. ASU was in business.
We’re going to fast forward to the 4th quarter, 6:38 left. USC had added 10 points to ASU’s 3 making the score 38-16. Ronald Case again drove his team down the field and handed the ball to return specialist Jefferey Sanchez for the 6-yard score bringing the game to 38-22 after a failed 2-point conversion.
ASU was running out of time but would not give up, forcing a three-and-out, and giving Ronald Case another shot with the ball. ASU completed four passes, including a spectacular 42-yard catch by James Miller, to drive down field and score. This time they hit connected on the 2-point conversion.
The game was now at 38-30. As unlikely as a comeback was, Ronald Case did not care. He kept completing passes on third down. He continued to will his team down the field. ASU lined up to kick an onside with 1:15 left and no time outs, trying to get Ronald Case one more shot.
Star USC special teams’ play-maker John Bowman was seen pumping up his shoes on the sideline before the kick, which as everyone knows, adds like 5 feet to a vertical leap. The kick was on point but Bowman was too, jumping above everyone and snagging the ball out of the air and hope from the ASU sideline, sealing the victory and continuing USC’s march towards a second consecutive national championship.

Sim Team of The Week:
Oregon Ducks
The Ducks did a great job against a much more talented Cal team and even lead at the half 9-6. Though they lost the game 21-16, they gave the Golden Bears a run for their money.

Hey, all understood. Hope my post was taken in the appreciative way I meant it.

And since you seem to be concerned, you have zero chance of being fired from OSU this season. You'd have to spend a full season "In Jeopardy" before you'd have any chance of getting canned.

Naw, your good.

I just lost to another sim. You sure I won't get fired?
