1. He loves to argue.
2. He prides himself on being a dick.
3. He lives on line.
4. He loves HBD.

If you don't feed him, he'll either go away or have a reasonably normal conversation.

I'm wondering if a few of you are just plain *** stupid or just don't understand the internet.

Jumping in from out of nowhere to call someone a troll is, in fact, trolling.
Commenting, even indirectly, about someone is, indeed, "feeding" them.
