Five Season 1970's 24 Team Prog NEED ONE Topic

24 owners..... that must play all 5 seasons. $50 in credits to team with most combined regular season wins after 5 seasons.

Five season progressive league. Players drafted from any season from 1970 to 1979.

EDIT Players can also be drafted from 1966 to 1969 but these players must be kept on the roster through 1970 season before being dropped. Note: Players drafted from the 66-69 must be WIS eligible in 1970 or they can't be drafted.

First example, a team can draft 1966 Luis Aparicio but he must be kept all 5 seasons, 1966-70.

Second example, a team can draft 1967 Cesar Tovar but he must be kept at least 4 seasons through 1970 then he can be dropped for 1971.

Players dropped after season one and forward are blacklisted from future drafts.

Player seasons of players drafted from 1976 and up can be used for the 1980's. Example: player drafted starts career in 1978, he can be used 1978 through 1982.

If you draft a player he's your exclusive. You can start using his seasons any time in the 70's, but they must be used consecutively.

Example:

Player One: Season One 1972, Season Two 1973 etc.
Player Two: Season One 1976, Season Two 1977 etc.

Random snake draft for 1st draft only, 1-20, 20-1 etc. Future drafts to fill out rosters for dropped, retired or injured players in reverse order of standings.

Players that qualify, can be put on IR until their next available season. No limit on IR.

Exclusive stadium 1970 to 1979. You must use your selected park for all 5 seasons. Will use round 26 to draft stadiums.

Yes to trades. No to AAA, but can be used for trade filler. No to DH and clones.

Team names are up to you.

Future drafts for seasons 2-5 consist of the remaining players for the given era following the previous seasons draft.

Round 2 - All seventies era players remaining not drafted in round 1
Round 3 - All seventies era players remaining not drafted in rounds 1 and 2
etc...

Keep in mind, all players are exclusive.

We're just finishing up the inaugural version of this league spanning 1969 through 2015. There was a much larger player pool to draft from to allow owners to go through small rebuilds. With only a 10 year span to choose from, your initial draft will be more critical due to the much smaller player pool size.

I merely asked a question.

I did not commit to join.

I do not want to be a part of this progressive.

You can take my name off.

So you don't have to start your drafted players in their rookie season for year 1? As long as you start them no earlier than '70 and no later than '79?

Do you have to declare the starting season at the time you draft them?

You can start your drafted player anytime from 70-79, rookie season or not.

And you don't have to declare the season you start a player in the draft.
