Spring Training - benefit even if they don't play? Topic

I put a lot of players in Spring Training believing they will benefit from the coaching even if they don't play much. But I haven't really tried to figure out if that's the case. I'm wondering your experience has been. Does it make sense to bring them up, even if they hardly play?

They need to get some playing time to get some benefit from spring training.

Spring training is most beneficial for young ML players and prospects. I give the ML vets 3 or 4 games so their ratings don't decline then play all my young ML talent and prospects the rest of the way. Stud prospects can get a boost of 3 ticks. I think I've seen DITR's get up to 4 if I'm not mistaken. Adjust your player rest and pitch count settings to maximize the number of players that enter the game.

This isn't correct. Some players will get a bump from just being there. But only a point here and there.
