Catcher advice Topic

I'm currently in a draft league and only drafted one catcher, with 380 PAs (stupid on my part, I know). I have no clue how I omitted drafting a backup catcher, but now that I'm here...is it better to just let that C start all season and get run into the ground, or put another fielder back there?

I had an OF back there last game and he had 5 passed balls.

Screwed either way. I think a really tired catcher is slightly better than someone out of position

He does have an A+ arm, and as I understand it, that won't be affected by fatigue. So at least I"ll have that going for me.

bat him 9th, take him out for defense/rest in blowouts, and hope

Like 06 said, bat him 9th and rest him in blow outs. Also rest him when you start scrub pitchers.

Roseboro survived the year, finishing at 90% health. He played in 118 games, with IFs taking his spot behind the dish in the remaining games.

He finished with a slash of .183/.262/.292, but threw out 37 of 81 baserunners and had a C ERA of 3.46.

Looks like you made the playoffs too even without your backup catcher

Yeah, I've got a team running short on catching PAs. Batting them 9th and hoping for the best.
