Anyone else think they parted ways because Saban thought that would be the best way to take focus/pressure off the players and put it on his/Kiffin's relationship?

I'm sure that was a factor. He missed a team bus preparing for Washington. You know how I know? They talked about it for 20 minutes on College Gameday last Saturday.

I'd imagine 0, but it might depend on how much he likes southern florida and how much they are paying him. I could totally see him trying to build a power there.

I watched them destroy Akron last night. They have some players. I imagine it really comes down to the buyout and how much his future school wants him. If Petrino can get a job in the P5, how can Kiffin not? Douchebag Deluxe or not, schools like winning football games.

yep both on the road. they play Air Force and Bethune Cookman as their other non-cons.

In 2019, they open at Ohio State and have the return game with UCF (along with a game at Ball St.).

So it looks like they are making some effort to play at least 1 tough game in the non-con.

Group of 5 can only get in with the toughest of non-cons wins. And one against a P5 power won't be enough.

I agree that is most likely the case, but say Oklahoma only has 1 loss and that is to Florida Atlantic who is unbeaten. It would at least be an interesting situation because presumably a 12-1 Oklahoma would be a playoff contender, but how could you put them in over an unbeaten team that beat them.
