I'm in with Willie Mays. Can someone give me an idea how many IP you need for your pitcher?
Yeah, i'd say 1700 at a minimum, and thats if your in a pitchers park with a stud. Like Jfranco said, quality doesn't matter here so much. Sometimes you just need an arm. Granted, you want at least a few years of top tier seasons, and you don't want any stinkers, but, the middling seasons that are only useful in progs will get you by

nice grab schwarze, i was hoping he'd fall a few more.....
Thanks. Honus can field 7 of the 8 positions without penalty. My hope is to minimize errors and "-" defensive plays.

The first version of this league was one of the most fun experiences I've had on this site. I was considering a couple of different alternatives, but I'll go with the guy I used the first time:

Eddie Collins

I have Lajoie in the field, no excess innings needed to make up for poor glove. and having a stud pitcher doesn't necessarily mean you need fewer IP because lower WHIP means he's allocated fewer pitches per inning.

Can't resist any longer... Babe Adams.

down to one.....next person in can draft their hitter and pitcher!!! It's like two picks for the price of one.....or 25 if you will

I'm in with Barry Bonds and Tom Seaver.

Since the person before me already has a pitcher I'll go ahead and take:

P Grover Cleveland "Pete" Alexander

Going with newly enshrined hall of famer Tim Raines for my hitter.

To help this process out, if we could stay in order, that would be sweet.....Oh, and please sm the next person when you pick please.

Thanks guys (girls?) For filling this up so fast

damn, seaver was going to be my pitcher. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

This might be a huge mistake due to his innings but I'm new in this league and he fits with my (lack of) infield defense. I'll take Clayton Kershaw

You made a great choice with Barry. Here is a pic of what we did in a 2 man band league many years ago now. Obviously 02 Barry won MVP, but it was an all Barry MVP race and every Barry also won gold glove.

Barry was the guy I was hoping would make it back to me. Probably should have just taken him in round 1.

Barry is almost as gamebreaking as Babe, but what i've learned is speed is way more important in this league because of how bad every catcher is going to be. So as fun as they are, guys like Billy Hamilton and Ty Cobb and Tim Raines are infinitely more fun to look at box scores, and will ultimately probably win the league.
