In Division III, I know the speed of your center doesn't matter a whole lot, but would you recruit a guy with SPD=1?

He also happens to have:
ATH = 89 red
RB/D/BK/LP = 60/70's - mostly green

PE/BH/P = 1 (For all)

Can someone that has 4 "1's" still be productive? I love his other ratings though.

I'd recruit him. Playing motion, his pass/BH might be a problem with TO's, but it also might be offset by his scoring ability and defensive ability. He looks like a beast. Post players don't suffer as much from poor BH/Pass ratings the same way back court players do.

I just signed a guy with 1 speed and I run FB/press. Let's see how he does. Should be a solid reb/def.

I would imagine it would be very difficult if you played fast break, full court press, or man to man. Even flex might be difficult as fast centers are often utilized. I think he would be a great fit if you a 2-3 zone defense. He could be a situational role player, for example if the opposing center is fairly slow as well.

I'd sign him on my d1 teams if the work ethic was good enough. Especially if he was ranked low enough to redshirt. His cores will be mostly 90s. At d3 he'd be almost unfair.

I was thinking exactly the same. I think he's going to be a MONSTER in D3. One I'd happily take 3 to's per game from, along with his 20pts and 12 Rebs.

Recruit the guy? I'd sell the whole damn farm for him.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like my instincts are correct and I will recruit him. He is a Juco, so may not quite reach 90's, but think he will work for me.

What projected division is he?

He is projected D2, so may be a reach, though I had good success with D2 guys last go-around.

Yeah, he might be sought after by D2 teams but I say go for it and see what happens.

In a perfect world, if you could do an Inform of RS and still get him, that'd be awesome.

Be very careful what you put on these boards about recruiting. You just told every d1 and d2 school in your area that this guy is out there. A d1 school in your area may go looking for him now. Just food for thought.
