I was unable to find guidance on the following: if i finish a playoff series early, e.g. sweep, will my guys receive extra rest as compared to other playoff teams that did not sweep?

Yes, if the team you're facing in the next round played fewer games than your team, your players get rest days. Could be as many as three rest days if you swept a best-of-seven and they went the distance.

I'm pretty sure that's only the case in the TOC. During the playoffs, each team only gets one game of rest between series.

Could be. I suppose I only really pay attention in the TOC. I assumed it was the same in the playoffs of regular leagues.

Let's say I make the playoffs in an open league. I win the first round 3 games to 0. My opponent in the second round won his first round matchup 3 games to 2. Will my players receive 2 days of rest since my team played 2 fewer first round games than my opponent?

Generally, but in this case my observations tell me otherwise. I.e. Had a guy recently at 91(93) when we swept a series and, after waiting multiple games, was at 93 in Game 1 of the next series

Just had a first round playoff where I won in 4 and my second round opponent won in 5. I took note of one of my pitcher's fatigue levels: he was 69 (91) after pitching in the final game of round one.

We now have a schedule for round two, and he's 92 (94).

I have a league that had a three-way tie for the WC - two play-in games were required, yet none of the other teams have gotten any rest for their players. It's ridiculous.

In rare instances I've had numbers change from one day to the next, by one point, from the projection after the prior game (during the regular season).

CS responded and told me the rest is applied when the next round is scheduled. I got one day of rest for my players when the LDS schedule came out.
