Simple. There will be a draft of 6 rounds. It will be random and snake.

Round #1: Select an exclusive franchise

Round #2 - #6: Draft 5 exclusive players that played for your franchise - any positions (e.g. Sabres draft C. Simpson and no other team - Pens or Oil - can draft him); you can draft 5 defensemen or mix it up.

All other players are free agents for any team. All players can be twisted to any season.

That's it -- Oh, the rules...

1. SH% capped at 20% (nothing over)
2. SA% capped at 90 (nothing over)
3. Dmen capped at 65 (nothing over - no cap on Forwards)
4. Modern day players are used in this league: 1967 - present

Other: No Inj/Sus; No WW; Trades On; No ML; No SO; No PI

CAP: 120M

Rules are in place because I do not wish to see the same players over and over and over and over and over and over and over... These rules will bring some new players and drafting ideas to the league.

I understand if you do not like them. That is your decision. But I am not dropping them. Thanks.

And statements like, "Better listen to the people, Kiteport" doesn't make me do what YOU want me to do. That's why this forum is open to those who wish to start a league with the rules they want to use in a league.

If you do not want to participate, then that is fine with me. It's nothing personal to me.

I want to see different players in this league. Too many great players that get overlooked and unused in this sim.

I would pick Edmonton. With that Dmen rating, I would get a very effective Paul Coffey. And:

Gretzky: 81D/19 SH%
Messier: 82D/19.5 SH%
Satan: 85D/19
Oates: 91/17.8
Anderson: 68/19.7
Napier: 92/19

That's just some options. Of course, you may not get all those players, but that's the beauty of the league. Who will draft who as their exclusive keepers, and who will be left over to fill out the rosters?

Makes for some fun drafting and use of players.
