While Ossoff raised a lot more money from individuals than Handel ($24m to $5m), Handel received $12m from Republican groups (NRCC & CLF) and $6m from super PACs. Ossoff received $5m from the DCCC and less than $3m from super PACs.

They spent $55m total, $32m by Ossoff and $23m by Handel.

Democrat candidates might not have that much to spend in 2018 for each seat, but they also won't be trying to flip a -24 district for every seat.

They'll certainly be trying to save 23 democrat senate seats up for reelection, of which 10 are in states Trump won. Meanwhile, republicans only have 8 senate seats to defend in 2018.

I'm not liking the math when it comes to money per seat if I'm the Dems.

Why are you changing the subject to the Senate? Why can't you ever be like, "oh yeah, you're right. There wasn't a huge disparity in spending and, from the political parties themselves, Handel spent more than Ossoff?"

Yeah, the Democrats aren't likely to take the Senate. But history is against the President's party picking up a bunch of midterm Senate seats, so I'm guessing things stay about the same in the Senate, with one party gaining or losing 2 or 3 seats.

OSSUCKS SPENT $10 MILLION MORE THAN HANDEL!!! THAT'S YUGE!!! And lots of that money came from out of state.... And they still couldn't influence the outcome.

Also, I'm merely pointing out that the Dems will be allocating a shitload of money to stop the republicans from picking up 8 more senate seats. Its going to be hard to allocate a lot of money to their house seats up for grabs because of this. The republicans are already airing ads in the 10 states Trump won.

Take those day before election polls in Georgia that said dems were energized and independents were coming over in swarms and even Republicans were defecting. The number given was 15%. Imagine that! IT WAS REPORTED IN THE NEWS! On radio and in print. These people were told 15% of their own party was jumping ship. And they would be joined by some sleeping giant of a liberal vote along with a super-majority of independents.

That didn't happen. And it didn't happen in any post election voting. The dems are 0 - 4. And they're celebrating victory. Not good in a reality world.

That tactic does have a name. It's called voter suppression. Like in 1999 when FAKE NEWS called Florida for Gore. They called it for Gore while the numbers on my television showed BUSH was ahead. They called it for Gore ONE HOUR before the polls had closed. It's called voter suppression. Then the dems blamed the Bush win on butterfly ballots they invented in districts they controlled and then blamed Bush for stealing the election.

Old news that shows we're dealing with the same old liars and cheaters.
