I just explained how I would do it. Again, you criticized without providing a solution. Just throwing more debt at the issue doesn't make it go away.
I'm telling you that you can't cut spending in order to shrink a deficit during or immediately after a recession.
It doesn't make a difference what you'd be cutting.
Except you can cut military? So how would you do it now?
I think the sequester was a horrible idea. I don't think they should have done it.
If a balanced budget was your goal (it wouldn't be mine because treasury rates are still very low), I'd focus primarily on revenue, not spending. There are some things than can be cut, but they are relatively small. I wouldn't cut Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security.
