Thanks. I have used Octave before but it was a while ago when i took a machine learning class. I do not remember much about the class or Octave. I have wanted to do more stats and visualization stuff but my method of getting the data sucks, copy and paste. I need to figure out a way to use a web crawler or something. Wonder how yatzr does it.

Python is wonderful, well at least the bit i explored. I used their Django app to have some fun creating web apps and stuff. Created some pretty cool web pages in my opinion. Now i need to explore more of what Python has to offer.

My java app uses an http library that basically acts like a web browser. I tell it where to go, I have it inspect the html, fill out forms, hit buttons, etc. You can certainly do all the same stuff in python. I think this is the library you'd want to use

The hardest part will probably be figuring out how to get past the login screen and then holding onto / forwarding the session token (or whatever it is) that the WIS website uses.

I'm surprised we're ranked #1. I didn't think SOS would be high enough especially after nobody replaced da_goat and Eastern Michigan went simai on my noncon shedule. Still might be a problem.

Houston really has no business in the title game yet. This is my first senior class, recruited with prestige not much better than a good IAA school lol. We will give it our best shot, but it's probably better if the pollsters come to their senses and send a couple more deserving teams.

Good luck, ebel. You have a much better chance making it to the NC game than I do. Truedevil, you got it right with Pitt. We're playing 10 humans this season, but have only played 3 teams currently in the top 25, and nobody higher than 18. Also, looking at our team stats, nothing about us says NC team. Going unbeaten and winning the Big East would be huge for me in improving my job status, but we're not a National powerhouse. The 3 elites would be much more deserving.

Your not yet*.... yet being the key word there. Just winning the bigeast is a big win in my book. Crazy good coaches in that conference including yourself.

I agree with TD. Winning the Big East is no joke. You've done a great job at Pitt.
