Want to throw a pitcher unlimited pitches Topic

Hello,

I want to throw a pitcher unlimited pitches. Do I set him to TARGET PITCH: 170, MAXIMUM PITCH 170, TARGET 170 MAX NONE, OR TARGET NONE MAX NONE?

None and none, but even then he's limited to 255 pitches if any pitcher is available after him.

The SIM will make every effort to pull the pitcher at 255. See the excellent thread "How Sparky Uses His Bullpen" for a discussion on who the SIM will bring in in such a circumstance.

Idk, I've had a few mop ups pitch complete games and pitch 255 pitches. 255 is the limit on the box score, but I'm sure they passed it in the game. I don't think they pull them when they hit 255, as long as all your bullpen guys are resting.

Yeah, the SIM may not go to a pitcher set to "Rest" or who's relief box is unchecked, at 255. I've noticed that too.

SIM will put in resting pitcher after 255. Only time SIM will not is after all pitchers have been used and he is the last left. Then even injuries can"t stop him.
