The long running Double Season Progressive League is soon to be embarking on
it's 30th season and will celebrate it's 5th year of play this March. The inaugural draft was
held March 2012. Many of the original owners are still in the league.
We're currently playing the 1979-80/2007-08 season. The 1980-81/2008-09 draft
should begin about 3 weeks from now.
It's a league consisting of a unique blend of players from the 80's and 00's.

San Diego 79:07 currently 31-27 (in an extremely competitve Pacific Div)
Bad news first: This team doesn't have a 1st Rd. pick for the 80:08 draft
Now the Good: This roster should challenge for the division title in an
incredibly talented division.
ROSTER
PG Rajon Rondo - 4 All Star years ahead 80-81 19.3 U% 51.4 efg%, 32.3 ast% & D80

TAKEN
New York 79:07 currently 13-45 (holds 2nd lottery position)
weighted 6 team lottery.
Bright future! Bernard King returns and many years as scoring threat ahead. With lottery
pick you're assured of a top rookie in deep draft!
PG John Lucas - excellent bench PG. 26.8 ast%. 1983-84 thru 1987-88 are solid years.
SG Phil Smith - last good season 23.5 U% 49.3 efg% 17.8 ast% D60
SG Vinnie Johnson - 2nd year. The microwave is just heating up!
SF/PF Cliff Robinson - 4 years of $5M+ ahead. Defender & Rebounder who can score!
SF/SG Bernard King - coming off injury season and plenty of scoring to come. 23.2 U% 58.8 efg%
PF/SF Bob McAdoo - Can still score off the bench. 1982-83 thru 1984-85 are good limited minutes.
PF/C Wayne Cooper - 6 solid years ahead! Rugged defender & rebounder. Great role player.
PF Rasheed Wallace - pretty much baked.
C/PF George T. Johnson - D100 Shot Blocker. 2 good years left.

Recently this league has seen plenty of off season trade activity and both of these teams
have plenty of talent to offer or stand pat. S.D. is win now and N.Y. is lottery rebuild.

Come on owners stop trading future first rounders away then deciding to quit your team in a progressive league.

I can relate and appreciate your frustration. But that isn't the case with this team.
The first round pick was traded to fill out a win now roster. Whether it's a good strategy
or not only time will tell.
Probably a better idea to hold on to the 1st Rd. picks. It was a roll of the dice.
This is a very competitive league and that is what I enjoy about it.
A very close race in the West.

Below is our current season. For me this makes up for all of WifS shortcomings.
5 to 6 teams vying for 2 playoff spots. I look forward to checking the boxscores
every morning over my coffee and cornflakes and seeing how my team is doing.
It's a great league filled with unscrupulous owners. Come join the fun!
This league has a history of the #3 - #6 seeds making the Finals and WINNING!

I noticed that both of the teams available are yours - are you leaving?
2/13/2017 11:58 AM
No. There is one other team available and I plan on taking
that one. I'm going to post both teams as available and
own one of the two.
I'm continuing as Commish and seeking one more
long term owner.
