New College Football Alumni League - 2016 players Topic

FWIW, we do an Alumni League every season in the NBA SIM, and allow "small school" (schools that have too few players to field a team of their own) adds. We limit the adds to 2 or 3 max with a varying salary total and individual player salary max. I mention this as it helps those schools with just a hole or two become "usable", and that might help you fill timely.
We did a league a few years ago where 2 nearby schools could combine, I went to the conference championship with UNLV/Nevada-Reno.

Thanks much for the tip, GW. Will recheck the salary structure to see if we can make it fit without rupturing the finances of the skilled positions.

I guess I wasn't as clear as I should have been, widowmaker. This league is still first come, first served for any particular school. I just didn't want to prevent someone from using the same school they did in the last league, and attempted to make the point that anyone that did repeat could take an entirely different approach with roster construction this time around.
Okie doke.

Just sign me up for LSU, too. Can't see myself not throwing them in again. I believe I used them everytime I've ever joined this theme. Sorry to be a pain in the a$$, kilgore.

No problem. In place of one of the other two?

We have $30 million in RB's!!!

If I use the 1994 Browns special teams and Eric Metcalf as a reserve WR that's considered a clone?!?

No, not a clone in my view. That's in line with the intent of the rule to have a returner as opposed to some other special teams member (including kicker or punter). Lots of returners have contributed at RB, WR, etc. as well in NFL history.

kilgore, I'm gonna go ahead and throw Georgia in, too. Make it an even four teams. ALL on widowmaker78 unless someone has an issue with it. Then I'll just throw two teams in on this account and two teams in on venom__reign. Would rather have them ALL on this account, but I don't want to rock the boat. I have a feeling we're not filling up until 2016 players are released, anyway.

Ok. If we have enough interest you can back off a team or two. Hopefully things will pick up when 2016 players become available.

By the way, I actually found both a defense and offensive line with 2 starters each from Auburn. Top that! Also, I'll field an Arkansas team unless someone else wants to.
