As awesome a season I had with Florida State, I have changed my mind and would like to try Tennessee this time. FL State is now available for anyone else who wants it.
Will put in my Tennessee team once the league fills. Excited for the next season!
Good choice. Tennessee is GREAT in this theme. Last season was my second time using them. Made playoffs both times. Ton of options, because they have a really great selection of talent. With exception to defense. You're basically stuck with the '91 Eagles if you want to compete and win. That's really the only weakness with Tennessee. Well, that and kicker. Raveiz isn't bad if you use his most expensive season, but he's pretty much IT.
Ah, but for defense there is a better option! Aubrayo Franklin played his first 4 years for none other than the Baltimore Ravens, including that awesome 06 defense!
I also see better options for O-Line and Special Teams than were used this past season.
Reveiz is pretty good with a 92 Field Goal rating.
I'm excited!
I stay away from '06 Ravens anymore. As an Ed Reed fan I used them frequently and they ALWAYS seemed to choke big time in the playoffs. Dominate the regular season, then come playoff time I go out in the first round after giving up like 30 or 40 points.

As far as '91 Redskins, they won a Super Bowl in real life (Which I'm convinced most always translates well on here. In fact, they're considered one of the greatest O-lines all-time in most circles. I mean they made Mark Rypien look like Joe Montana) and I've always had really good results out of them for the price. More or less why I used them.

Wonder if we've slowed to a grinding halt thanks to folks waiting (and waiting and waiting) for WiS to FINALLY update the 2016 players or lack of interest. Again, if need be I'll throw in Georgia. Virginia Tech too, if I absolutely have to. I'm not particularly fond of ANY owner throwing in so many teams into one league, but SADLY that's the current state of WiS football. Gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Give it a try, Got_Worms, never done it myself. If I ever throw a Virginia Tech team in here or if we ever do this theme again in the near future I'll have a QB by committee AND RB by committee thing going. Team will probably suck, but whatever. I totally forgot about Tyrod Taylor being from VT. My younger brother, a VT fanatic, actually reminded me the other day. He has one pretty decent season on here along with 'Mr. Puppy Killer'.

Well, the Clemson Tigers wouldn't throw many picks but they need Deshaun Watson to pan out, otherwise Charlie White Hurst is looking like 1st string!!

If I can get in I'll try Syracuse. Curious to play sim football again. Any advice on roster management would be appreciated.

Syracuse
Defense: 1986 Chicago Bears - Otis Wilson
Offensive Line: 1961 Green Bay Packers - Jim Ringo
Special Teams: 1973 Denver Broncos - Floyd Little (1 punt return)

Use Jim Brown extensively. That's my advice!

A 5th choice for Clemson, single wing tailback Bob Gage. I roster his '49 season for a nice running backup

Tennessee is in. Went a different direction with the defense and a cheaper Manning. Can't wait to get started!

Defense: 1999 Rams (Leonard Little)
O-Line: 2004 Packers (Chad Clifton)
Special Teams: 1997 Cowboys (Bill Bates)

Edit: Forgot stadium.
Reliant Stadium (Arian Foster)
