The long-running Real Life Progressive league is looking for a new Atlanta Braves' owner. This is a very easy progressive team to pick up. The Braves' pitching staff is solid to excellent for the next 5 seasons, so you can focus draft picks on hitting. Of the eight pitchers on the staff, not one had less than an average year in 1984, with Bud Black and John Candelaria having excellent years. They need a catcher in 1984 (Simmons played 1B that year) and a shortstop, but Buddy Bell, Lee Lacy and Bob Dernier all had excellent years, and 1985 and 1986 are very solid hitting years for the team. This team should compete every year.

This progressive league is like most, except that any player who started his career in a season is available to be drafted that season in the first round. In other words, in 1984, P Zane Smith, P Tom Browning, OF Kevin Mitchell and other "Prospects" could be drafted -- they started their careers in 1984, but were not WIS eligible. A prospect (we keep a separate draft list to make it easy) joins any players you have on the DL/IR until he is WIS eligible. If you select a prospect in the 1st round (meaning someone who played in 1984, but wasn't WIS eligible), you can pick up your 25th player in the supplemental draft round, which occurs after the normal draft is finished. The rest is pretty standard, with 4 AAA that you select from the 1984 season, and a DH is used in the AL.

Please sitemail if interested, and for further explanation of the rules.
