So if you implement a defense that uses two different types, does this get you a slight advantage when it comes to recruiting? If you play a press/m2m, you at the very least get a Good in the preference for both defenses.

I'm seeing that now -- I'm getting a GOOD for both zone and press.

Yes - that is true. You will not get very good for either, but good for both.
