This is what I like about recruiting at D1 in 3.0.

DI A+ Very High Yes 29%

This is newbie question, not a smart *** question, is there anything you could have done to win? In a 4-way you had a 65% chance of losing, is this a "right" way to view this scenario?

is there anything you could have done to win?

Probably not. At least not outright. I averaged about 40 AP per period, if I had really gone all in and spent 80 a period I probably would have bumped the bottom guy, maybe bottom 2 down to moderate. But they might have put in more effort then as well.

Yup. That's mathematically accurate.

Is the difference in percentage between you and the A+ team down to you matching up better to the recruit's preferences?

Could be some of that, but it also likely includes Fordham investing more APs, promises, and/or visits.

Honestly...

"Is there anything you could have done to win?"

Not get in the battle at all is probably the only way to avoid the crapshoot.
2/16/2017 6:05 PM
Yes. Because crapshoot is the only appropriate way to describe a battle between 3 B and 1 A+ D1 schools.

He probably had better preferences than I did. I think I probably had significantly more effort

Had to fight for the guy. He's that good. In 2.0 I would have had no chance.

if the a+ guy wanted him, he would have taken him. If

That's still a 10% battle so it could have gone either way. What are the percentages of the flip when a three way 10% happen?

The result was influenced by effort as a result it ended up as a random flip of a coin agree? I am asking what were the specific percentages of each side of the coin for the three way?
