Lipscomb D1 D+ Very High 48%
Vanderbilt D1 B Very High 52%
Booooo
I thought that was a fun little battle for a local kid. You had the advantage for defense preference, playing man. You likely had a disadvantage for his preference for a rebuild, where I was neutral. The long-time coach preference was a wash.

We were completely all-in on visits, and promised a start. APs averaged just under 42 per cycle. We had to be *very* close on overall effort credit, because the signing odds were about as close as they can be. I'm guessing maybe you didn't offer a start? Or not all-in on visits?
Yeah I was very good for defense obviously, and bad for rebuild as well as long time coach which as you mentioned was a wash.

I had 21.5 AP per cycle average, 20 HV, 1 CV, i did offer 10 minutes, but NO start.
Sounds about right. About 20 extra APs per cycle, and a start, basically amounts to the difference between 1 and 2/3 prestige grades.

UCLA. A+ 74%. Lost - very high
Arizona A+ 26%. Won - high

Zona moved from moderate to high that cycle for the first time. No idea what he had in the kid, but I had a start, 20 mins, cv, and 15 hvs.

Must of reach the 60% treshold for signing. "70-30: 43%" out of the range so its a surprising result . It is still a random coin flip for very high/high. My assumption of 3.0 is that it happens rarely but it does happen if you guys aren't just manipulated the forums for your own agenda.

Everybody, who provide a random result that happen unexpectedly is providing the wrong information. Or it just happens .05 chance of the time.

Let me start by saying that I agree that this situation can't be what that intended to happen when this was designed - I think the D1 schools should have easily knocked me down to have no chance at that recruit and I've had that happen with my D3 teams and even D2 where I was knocked down quickly after being very high for a huge portion of both recruiting sessions (and again agree that should happen) I'm not certain what the difference was this time other than I kept pouring AP's in throughout. I wish I had tracked the interest level each cycle but I didn't. I thought I was at VH or H the entire time but I definitely could be mistaken. I had 1655 AP's, 11 home visits, CV, promised start, and 15 promised minutes. I also had two very good and one good preference with none bad. I also am aware there is some amount of benefit to AP's after you promise minutes and starts so I opened those as quickly as possible and got those benefits the rest of recruiting session 1 and 2.

I found and recruited other completely unrecruited D1 'projected' players that aren't real D1 players but will be very nice at D3 so I could stay invested in Bricker.

Should this happen? No...but as long as it's a possibility I'll definitely be more willing to get into or stay in battles to be a part of the 'coin flip' as the underdog.

Appreciate the information, snewell. Great job cashing in on a calculated gamble, and good luck with Bricker - he should tear up DIII from the start.

Thanks treyomo. I was definitely shocked to see him sign with us. This is the system that we have in place right now though so I hope to continue to take advantage and get lucky like this sometimes along the way. I've been on the other side as well and wish you the best. If I forgot to give any information that you or anyone else would like to know I'll be happy to provide it.
