Temple Sim AI DI D+ High Yes 0%

Figured I'd post this one lol...not sure why Temple had a 0% chance...fyi I jumped on the player 1st cycle of 2nd session and he signed 1st cycle. Otherwise I would have knocked these SIM schools off.
I vaguely remember a post from seble that said only the top 5 schools would be considered.

I have to say... reading this thread made me laugh. Ward's discussion on .05% of the time is enlightening.. mainly because I think that's about the same percentage of time he's right.

What was your effort in the Dartmouth battle?
It was more of a pillow-fight than a battle. I had 140 AP over 7 cycles (unlocked the schol. after 6 cycles) and Dartmouth wasn't on his considering until the 7th cycle.

I had 2 neutral preferences, no promises, no visits. The only other team with any effort was Chapel's Johns Hopkins team.

It was the 11AM cycle of the last day.

Is there a general consensus of how many AP a scholarship is worth across divisions? I.E. a D1 Scholarship is > 100 D2 AP + Scholarship

The value of AP varies by team and recruit, affected by preferences. An A+ D1 school with a good preference profile is going to unlock actions much faster than a B D2 school with mediocre preference profile for a given recruit.

Its possible that in a given battle, a D1 scholarship will = roughly a D2 scholarship + 100 APs. It's also possible that it's way more or way less valuable than that, depending on the schools involved, and the recruits preferences.

Some interesting info after communicating with coach steve, who was gracious enough to share:

- Identical preference ratings for both schools
- Both offered starts
- SJ promised 25 minutes, UConn promised 15
- UConn had 916 APs, SJ 355
- Both maxed HVs and CVs from the beginning
- UConn has a one letter grade prestige advantage

So, a 270% AP advantage and 1 prestige letter grade lead is not enough to keep a team at moderate or below. This tells me max effort no longer makes sense, because APs mean very little. Extra minutes mean much more, and prestige means virtually nothing if both schools are at same level DI.

So 10 extra minutes managed to sneak out a moderate over a ~600 AP and a full letter grade of prestige advantage for Uconn.

Are you sure preferences were identical? There is a gradient so not all Very Goods are equal. Unless its Offense/defense.
