Does HD 3.0 need to only roll the RNG on a recruit if it is very high/very high?

I'm incredibly surprised by the answer to the first question.

No matter the cap, there would still be ********. The unlimited resource vocal minority wants to bludgeon the 2nd tiers. No matter the #, they'd still complain about the cap.

I keep coming back to real life, because as was said in another post, even though this is a sim we want some semblance to real life. The NCAA does not let Kentucky, Duke, or Kansas move in with a recruit for a month before signing. There are limits. Div I football teams no longer hide talented players on the bench to keep the other teams from getting them.

However, I agree a kid would always pick DI UCONN over a D3.

I'm not sure that's really the motivation. I'd like to increase the cap because I think that would increase strategy. I'm in a Low Major D1 school, not sure who I'd like to bludgeon.

It wouldn't. It would be a return to "I have more resources. I get the recruit." WifS CHOSE to move away from that game.

Point of order, the leading team already has a higher chance to win. I doubt all the people choosing the second option understand that. The odds we see are already "stretched" to favor the leader, it's not a representation of the effort credit teams have.

Agreed.

i have lost a ton of battles in 2.0, as well as a at least 50-60% in the 3.0 world. My losses were so much more satisfying in 2.0 because I knew I typically just got beat by a guy that played it smarter than me (maybe I overreached and got greedy, or maybe I didn't sufficiently protect myself).

Are you able to get on a recruits considering list? Can you get to VH? On more than 1? Between 20 and unlimited, how many does it take to increase strategy?

Don't be. As discussed at length in the other thread, raising or eliminating caps doesn't add strategy and surely doesn't help the game overall.
I completely disagree. Not even sure how one could argue it doesn't add strategy. Right now, with a cap, your strategy stops with that cap. So if two teams both go full in on a recruit, then it just becomes a dice roll. How is a dice roll strategic?
