Season 116, PFL, preseason and recruiting recap Topic

Warner, D1AA, PFL

The recruiting is done and now its time for the non-conference play to start. Recruiting this season was good for some, and others it was just below par.

VMI-(jw183003ou) had another good recruiting season and it shows in the GUESS reports, having a Recruit class ranking at #5. Coming out ranked at #7, VMI should represent the North division in the PFL when the season comes to a close. Only downfall was the Sim recruited QB, Edgar Adams. A stellar class.

Valparaiso-(benzil), in his first year at Valparaiso had a remarkable recruiting class. GUESS reports has his recruit class ranked #2. Coming out ranked at #17, benzil should be thanking the former coach, sethstorer, for recruiting well during his tenure there. Luckily there was only a break one one year where the sims were in control of the team. Good luck to benzil and lets hope you can challenge VMI up north.

Dayton-(indiansrck27) is at the helm at Dayton this season, a place where coaches do not stay long. After a season with a sim coaching, Dayton brings in their 5th human coach in 6 years. Indiansrck27 had some problems in recruiting letting the sims sign 7 recruits giving him a GUESS reports recruit ranking of 94. There looks to be a big problem on the Offensive line with the sims signing 3 and the coach signing 1. Coming out ranked at #21, Dayton has an uphill battle with the hard schedule he has been given.

San Diego-(chrondon84) has come to clean up after the sims have been in control since season 98. In his first year, GUESS reports has his recruit ranking at #15 filling all of his scholarships himself while grabbing the #1 DL coming out of high school (Benjamin Hughes). There will be a lot of depth at RB moving forward for the next 4 seasons and if he keeps it up, he will be a force. Coming out unranked, his mid-season schedule against a bunch of sims might bring him a winning record for season 116

Coastal Carolina-(matthewm3) in his 16th season at Coastal Carolina had a GUESS reports recruit class ranking of #49. In a battle this season to represent the south in the PFL, his young offensive line will have to grow up fast. Having 3 FR, 2 SO, 1 JR on the O-line, the options are limited on how far he will go this season. Coming out ranked at #32, and only facing 2 human teams this season should give him a winning record. His SOS will not be helping him at all this season.

Austin Peay-(dmac1213) is in his 6th season at APSU, having a GUESS reports recruit class ranking of #55. Grabbing the #24 QB coming out, there should be a battle for starting position at QB in the next couple of seasons. Every position has depth and experience except special teams, where recruiting 2 punters and turning one of them into a kicker. Where losses vs. sims have plagued APSU in the past couple seasons, dmac1213 looks to rebound this season. Starting unranked, the depth of the team should bring back APSU.

With 50% of the teams in our conference being full, only one other conference (Ivy) has more coaches and we should capitalize off of it. This should be a competitive season and good luck to all.
