that's how it works. if you haven't had this happen to you yet then you are extremely lucky. I have lost tons of these.

+1 and I haven't been in a battle yet and I am changing job's this season. I just don't risk going higher than 150-200 if I am at div 2.

Nothing is off...... this is exactly how 3.0 works. If you are high you have a chance to sign. After he signed you should be able to click on the considering tab and see what the percentage was for you to win vs. the other teams that were high.

What is wrong?

It happens, be sure to have a backup option at all times. I actually was on a recruit nobody was on to start the 2nd recruiting period in Naismith and sure enough, somebody swooped in and took him just now.

He was serious? I can't imagine that.

Spud maybe I am a novice at this game and I'm seeing something wrong -- But I was under the impression that the one with the highest interest wins the recruit. let alone I was favored by a larger percentage.

That was in HD 2.0. This is HD 3.0. You should read and study the Guide, it is pretty darn good.

Guide to the New HD 3.0 release

Four teams had a shot at him, and the other three all had better prestige than you. You have to do more to drive those other teams down to Moderate -- at Moderate they have zero chance.

Over time it evens out, unless you are super lucky or super unlucky. But the idea is, if at all possible, to push the other team to moderate. A player can only sign with a high or very high team.
