Make your favorite franchise better by stealing some free agents!

1. When you sign up, select your franchise, choose two players to protect and three players to steal from the team selected prior to yours.
2. When making your selection you cannot select the same franchise as the one prior to yours and you must declare your protected players and free agent steals immediately. In fairness to all, those 5 named players need to occur upon franchise announcement and CANNOT be changed once the next team has been announced.
3. The first team in the league will select from the last team selected. The last team selected cannot be the same as the first team.
4. Each owner will then build their team using only player seasons with their selected franchise, no twisting, and the three selected free agents from their franchise, no twisting. You must roster your 2 protected players and the 3 free agents you selected. You cannot roster the 3 free agents you lost.

• 50-Year Span of 1943-1992 Seasons Available
• YES: DH
• NO: WW, AAA, Trades, Clones, Injuries
• Live play limited to next series
• Stadium = Any, does not have to be your team's home park.

• Franchise = all iterations of a team as per Baseball-Reference
• Limit 2 of each franchise
• An owner can have two teams in the league but must wait until after 12 have been selected to pick another

I've always done this league and other franchise leagues using a team other than my favorite, because my favorite is rarely the smart choice. It still probably isn't, but if ybj can always pick his favorite team, what they hey, I'll use mine.

I think this is the first time when I really have no idea which combination will be ideal. Nice choice on the years

I doubt you will struggle, but maybe it is best to wait until my division is full at least

I guess we'll make this the favorite team division? I'll join with the Yanks, give me a few min to decide who i'm stealing and protecting

I'll steel George Kell, McClain and Gehringer, Charlie protecting my dad's favorites, Mickey Mantle and Spud Chandler

Ill jump in with my favorites, the Dodgers, and ill steal from the hated Yanks Gehrig, Joe D., and Louisiana Lightning Ron Guidry. Ill hold on to Koufax and #42.

• I'll take my Cardinals, protecting Musial and Gibson, and borrowing Snider, Sutton and Jim Brewer from the Dodgers.

I'll try Cleveland - steal Mort Cooper, Ducky Medwick, Mize. Protect Tiant and Gaylord Perry.
