Scouting JUCOS Topic

I scouted 8 states. There isn't a single Juco showing up on my recruit pool list. How is that possible? These are 8 large states with over 200 prospects. When I look at scouting history it says there are 203 D1 recruits in those 8 states but I've only discovered 165. Where are the other 38?

In my opinion the number of jucos has decreased significantly in 3.0. In 2.0, I'd regularly see 6-8 D1 jucos in the SE part of the country. Now, there's maybe 2 each season.

Are all JUCOs players that were not signed the previous season? If so, the number of D3 schools signing unwanted D1 recruits would significantly impact the amount of leftover players to become JUCOs.

I dont think that is where jucos came from - based on ancient recollections of dev chats etc.

I think they simply are creating waay fewer

Could be that fewer ineligibles are going juco - which is a source of some jucos. Dont know.

At least some do. I have a guy that showed up that I recruited as a high school senior last season that is now a JUCO.

edit: To be clear, I recruited him and did not offer a scholarship. He is now a JUCO and is considering me before recruiting has started based on my efforts last season.

Right Mumcoach. Exactly what I was about to post.

Maybe some are generated in addition to the unsigned guys but I also have several players on my list that I sent effort to but never signed with anyone.

But 0 Jucos in this large an area? i had the same problem with transfers last season. Scouted 40 states when I was done and 0 transfers showed up.

The JUCO's are mostly in CA,, NJ, NY and MS. WY has a high % compared to non JUCO's as well.

In Allen, I have West Coast scouted. out of 339 total recruits, 11 are Juco.

In Tark, I have East Coast scouted. Out of 442 total recruits, 4 are Juco.

All D1.
