Thinking of joining. I'm confused by the exception. Does that mean we can use our 25th player from any box as long as he's under 500K? Or we can use any player in the entire databse as long as he's under 500K? What if I want to pick a player from all 25 boxes. Does the 25th player have to be under 500K?

The exception is optional. In 24 of the 25 boxes you must use 1 player from each box, use any season of that player.

The 25th box - either you use a season of a player in the box(any season, regardless of salary), or you have the option to use ANY player in the database, using a season with a salary of 500k or less. That would be the only time a player must be 500k or less.
