I rarely have guys on my ML roster in Spring Training that I dont want/need my ML roster this season... but for once, I ammin that bind.

Spring Training ends tomorrow night. Is there a window when I can demote him without taking a ratings hit?

Pretty sure I've heard you have to do it before ST ends. I try to make all my roster moves before the final game of ST just to be sure.

The preseason window for demoting without a chance of ratings hit closes the cycle before rosters are frozen for the Rule 5 draft. Anything after that until after the season ends has a chance based largely on the player's patience.
