Because Wilkinson D-1A is so competitive, there are lots of coaches on the hot seat every year. Here's an update on coaches with In Jeopardy or LTNJ status in D1.
In Jeopardy:
Maryland 4-5 #48, probably too late to turn this around.
North Carolina 7-2 #25, doing well, hopefully they can win their last 2 games vs. humans and a Level 3 Bowl and hang onto the job.
Temple 7-2 #28, has a tough stretch with 4 human opponents to finish out the season. These last 4 weeks will make or break this job.
Colorado State 6-3 #35, probably done as they have 2 tough games remaining in conference, need at least 1 upset and a bowl win.
Little To No Jeopardy:
Missouri 7-2 #24, 2 tough games left, but should still make a Level 2 or 3 Bowl, if they win that they should go back to Secure.
Baylor 6-3 #26, same situation as Missouri with 2 tough games left, still can get to a Level 2 or 3 Bowl and win to move up.
UConn 6-3 #29, should be favored in last 2 games remaining, seems likely to make a Level 3 and finish Top 25. Should be able to turn this one around.
Minnesota 6-3 #17, having a nice season, one tough game vs. Michigan remaining, may sneak into a Level 4 Bowl and should move up to Secure.
Washington 5-4 #45, seems likely to drop to In Jeopardy, despite a nice win over UCLA. Decided to schedule Miami (FL) OOC next season for some reason.
Georgia 5-4 #51, the SEC is brutal, needs a win over Florida or Tennessee to potentially make a Level 3 Bowl and hang in there.
Rooting for all of these teams, as all of the BCS conferences are brutal right now.
