How can I keep the old owners budget on a new team Topic

I have heard that you can do this. What if sports, in all their wisdom, wouldn't let me take over a team early. I would really prefer to keep the old owners budget.

It's an option at rollover once approved.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. The world rolled. I just went into the world and took over the team. Once the league fills and the world is approved, I'll get a notice to keep the old budget?

Yes, once approved.

Thank you baby Jesus. Thanks, Mike.

Mike is baby Jesus? Did not expect that?

Once would fills, can go to budget page where there will be two radio buttons - default, and previous season. Or what Mike said.

Does this work for all returning owners also or just someone that took over a new team?

Returning owners keep their previous budget and can move 4m up/down in most categories. There is no reset option.

Fun fact, when they first set up this option, the prospect budget rolled over *without* the $20M limit which meant teams could inherent additional prospect funds without the transfer penalty. Sent in a ticket. If I remember right, I only found one owner who exploited it.

Make that two. That is still the case: I was given the option of a $41 million prospect budget, and my league is accusing me of cheating. Is a $20 million prospect cap actually in the rules? This has been a huge controversy. I don't want to cheat, but WIS gave me the $41 million option.

Additionally, it did not give me the ability to adjust other categories more than $4 over the previous budgets, which meant I could only move that "extra" $21 million into coaching or players' payroll.

$20m is supposed to be the limit. Any additional money that goes into prospect is intended to be done via a transfer with a 50% penalty.

Are you saying that your starting budget is over $185m total?
4/20/2017 10:11 AM
No. It was a carryover budget. Get this: in the middle of the season, the commissioner of my league just had WIS TAKE the money out of my budget. This is total BS. I'm quitting and I want a refund... I need to remember how to send a ticket. Totally unfair.

What do you mean by a carryover budget? Was your total budget (including the $41m in prospect) more, less or exactly $185m?
4/20/2017 11:44 AM
Exactly $185 million.
