Trade advice needed - pitcher with low-ish splits Topic

I've never seen a pitcher like this. His control is good. His splits are pedestrian. His velocity and GB/FB are pedestrian, but he has 3 very good pitches:

I am being asked to trade a future 3b that will be pretty good.

I need pitching badly. My offense is pretty well set so I can afford to let this guy go. But is the pitcher I am trading for any good? I've just never had a player like that. Part of me thinks he could be an overlooked star and part of me thinks that he is going to be a bust. Are those 3 good pitches enough to save him?

Thanks for any help guys.

He's not going to be a star but he isn't going to be a flop either. Probably the equivalent of an SP3. You won't end up regretting this trade in a few seasons but you didn't fleece the other owner either. It's just a guy for a guy.

This guy isn't a perfect match but he had a unexpected respectable career. Just around league average but I never thought he'd be a BL pitcher. I haven't have much luck with 3 pitch SP.

I've never had a problem with 3 pitch pitchers. One of the better starters I have had on my squad.
