"Couldn't Play In The Creek League" started.

Are you one of those poor saps that just can't seem to get over the top? Are you one of those guys that is always saying "Wait'll Next Year!?" Are you one of those owners that's team is always a bridesmaid and never a bride?! This league is for you. Starting w/$100,000,000. Players from 1945-Present allowed. Diamond Legends career stats used. League will be realigned after full (to make things more competitive). NO CLONES will be allowed. NO DH, only true baseball here. Only 1 Championship.

This should be a very talkative league and everyone should have lots of fun. Great for beginners as well as veterans. Baseball fans wanted!

It's all new to me too, but it apparently averages out their stats over the length of their careers instead of making you pick a particular year or season.

Shouldn't be much different in the long run.

I started building a roster, and the salaries are much lower than I expected. I think $100M might be on the high side.

It is very different. redcped is quite right. One issue with otherwise very interesting idea of using Diamond Legend Career Stats is that the salaries are way too low. At $100 million, pretty much every team will have Walter Johnson, Addie Joss, Greg Maddux and Pedro Martinez or Sandy Koufax, and consist of Ruth, Ted Williams, Barry Bonds, etc.

You might want to try out a few rosters, re-think it and come back with some parameters, either limiting at least the maximum price of pitchers, or lowering the overall salary cap. Just advice. Either way good luck with it. I have wished I could come up with a good idea as to how to creatively use the Diamond Career stats for a long time, unsuccessfully so far. But I am glad to see someone try so we can all work on some method for using the careers of great players in an interesting league.
