I didn't realize it wasn't a thing. It's happened each season(3) since I came back.

It usually stops after before the third round of the ct.

It stopped in the 162 seasons of Smith and Naismith prior to this one

I always presumed it was till the end of the CT.

There is 34 practices in a season starting after the first exhibtion game.

So 2 exhibtion games, 10 non conf, 18 conference days and 4 CT games

which is 34 practices. So yes it should last until the very end of the CT

Is it possible you just never noticed the changes? I guess I'll have to pay attention and double check if there is 34 practices I'll pay attention to Iba

Maybe it depends on whether you get the 11th non-con slot? Just a thought.

No. I track everything.

Yeah it definitely never changed before. I noticed this the other night as well.

this was what I saw prior to 3.0 although I dont track every change - and it definitely was a forum fact prior to 3.0

wonder what else may have changed that seble didnt mention and we have not noticed?

I have also noticed that during job change period, the teams must continue to practice. I took over Drake in Allen yesterday morning at 2AM, and this morning I got a email that my practice setup and defense we run in games is different, and I swear I think one player (Davis) showed improvement in PE going from twelve improvement this season to thirteen after I changed both team and individual practice.

Anyone else notice or think they have seen this?

this is correct. 34 practices.
There used to always be an off day between non-conf and conference games. As mentioned this also was a day when if the schedule required, an 11th game was played.

A couple years ago some worlds eliminated that off day and other worlds continued to have them. But practices still ended before the final CT game. In the worlds with an off day there were still 34 practices. In worlds without an off day there were only 33 days of practice.

It seems that off day has now been eliminated(?) in all worlds. I haven't seen it in maybe a year. To return to 34 practices, the last practice was extended one day to be run the same night as the CT final.

Ah so the 34th practice was from that extra day of waiting we all hated and since it was removed was added to the end of the CT.

Never noticed. As long as we get the same number of practices doesn't change anything really

I've always thought that improvement should continue through postseason play. One of the real world effects of post season is you get more weeks of practice. would actually give making the PIT some real value for example.

some will say - makes the rich richer - yes a bit - but also rewards competitive success - and resembles real life.
