How much of an impact do preferences make in D1? I am a D+ prestige Power 5 conference school. If I have a 3 VH advantage over a A- to A+ school and everything else is the same, will I be even with them? Ahead of them? Behind them?

I tried as a C- going against an A+ prestige when I had a 2 preference advantage. I maxed him out too. I don't think they maxed him out and I still only got to a 30% chance. But I did have that chance.
