Java is no longer compatible with the new version of Firefox. You need to download a special version of Firefox to get it to work.

Thank you, George? But it is the special version will no longer be compatible in early 2018. What happens to Java, Firefox, and Live then?

Try resetting your computer to a old date. And then go to Firefox and click off updates

cstroh make sure you are on an administrator account when playing. my issue was i was logged in on guest

I downloaded the esr connection.

Not sure how to reset the date like you had mentioned however.
I did turn off the updates though.

How to reset your computer to an earlier date?
To use the Restore Point that you have created, or any one on the list, click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools. Select "System Restore" from the menu: Select "Restore my computer to an earlier time", and then click Next at the bottom of the screen.

for firefox I install version 49 from link - https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Install-and-Update/Install-an-older-version-of-Firefox/ta-p/1564.

For java I use java 7 with url https://live/whatifsports.com with java security at med or java 6(u32). I have not had java 8 work.
